Atmel LEON2-FT, AT697 ASIC Compact PCI Board

The GR-CPCI-AT697 board is a Compact PCI format development board which has been developed  to enable the evaluation of the Atmel AT697E LEON2-FT processor.

The Atmel AT697E is a Rad-Hard device which implements a 32 bit Sparc V8 Embedded Processor.  This device is targeted for use in Space and Defense applications and incorporates failure tolerance by design with features including internal TMR, parity protections and EDAC for external memories.

The incorporation of on-board volatile and nonvolatile memory, together with serial and Ethernet interfaces makes this board ideal for evaluation of the performance and behavior of both the Hardware and Software for the AT697E.

The board is capable of operating either as a stand-alone board, or as a compact PCI plug-in card in either the System slot or Peripheral slots.

An adapter is available to allow the installation of the board in a standard PCI slot of a Personal Computer.

Expansion to user's peripherals and circuits can be implemented either in an adjacent slot via the PCI interface or as a mezzanine board via the memory expansion connections.
