4-Lane PCI Express Development Board
Xilinx Virtex-4 FX60

 

Powered by Xilinx Virtex-4 FX60 FPGA, this is an ideal platform for 4-Lane PCI Express development and evaluation. Four  RocketIO Multi Gigabit Transceivers (MGT) provide PCI Express PHY interface with data throughput of 2.5 Gbps per lane. The on-board connector for Agilent PCI Express Mid Bus Probe increases protocol test coverage and eliminates the need for time-consuming test board setups.

Total of 8 SMA connectors provide direct access to 2 RocketIO MGTs (4 SMA per channel). The SMA to SFP/SATA/HSSDC2 conversation modules extend the usage of this board for other mainstream serial inference standards. 2 SFP connectors also provide direct access to 2 additional RocketIO MGTs.

4 LVDS ports provide access to 40 pairs of LVDS signals. These ports can be used for connecting different boards or daughter cards to the platform.

A variable clock circuit with 20 Mhz Oscillator, PLL, and Dip Switch can create data rates from 622 Mbps ~ 6 Gbps for RocketIO MGTs.
