DMA Module IP
Core
Overview:
DMA Module implements a high-throughput link between its two data
interfaces (Port A and Port B). The third port, the Descriptor Port,
controls the movement of data between the two data ports and supports
the queuing of multiple transaction requests (DMA chaining) in order to
maximize efficiency.
The DMA Module supports up to three clock domains (one for each port)
and performs all necessary clock synchronization. These clocks can have
any frequency and phase relationship. These clocks can also be tied
together reduce the number of clocks.
The DMA module does not contain any interface-specific code. The DMA
Module wrappers is provided to connect the
DMA Module to other IP cores
including its PCI and Memory Controller Cores.
