Xilinx Platform Studio Base System Builder Files Embedded Development Kit (EDK) is an all encompassing solution for designing embedded programmable systems. This pre-configured kit includes all the tools, documentation and IP system designers require for designing Xilinx Platform FPGAs with embedded IBM PowerPC™ hard processor cores and/or Xilinx MicroBlaze™ soft processor cores. The Platform Studio Base System Builder (BSB) wizard enables
designers to rapidly create a base hardware and software system targeted
to a variety of supported development and evaluation boards. Within
minutes, you can have your board booted with a base design containing
many of the features you need for your custom processing system. These
features include: PowerPC or MicroBlaze microprocessor cores,
CoreConnect™ busses and peripherals, and an example software application.
TED offers a wide range of embedded development and evaluation boards populated with Xilinx Virtex-II Pro and Spartan 3 devices (distributed by HiTech Global Distribution).
