Xilinx Virtex-II Pro™X Platform FPGAs extend the current Virtex-II Pro family with two additional devices. These devices are the first FPGAs in the industry to incorporate 6.5 Gbps serial transceivers. With up to 20 RocketIO X Multi Gigabit Transceivers ranging from 2.488 Gbps to 6.5 Gbps per channel, Virtex-II ProX FPGAs offer the same features as the successful Virtex-II Pro family, and provide a seamless migration path for higher performance serial applications.

The MK322 (populated with XC2VP20X) and MK325 ( populated with XC2VP70X) platforms allow designers to investigate and experiment with the features of the Virtex-II ProX Rocket I/O Multi Gigabit Transceivers. The MK322 and MK325 are official platforms for full and detailed characterization of the high speed IO channels of Virtex-II ProX devices and meet the highest signal integrity standards.
