HTG-ZRF16: X16 ADC/X16 DAC AMD Zynq® UltraScale+™ RFSoC Development Platform

HTG-ZRF16 is a high-performance RF data conversion and signal processing platform engineered for next-generation software-defined radio (SDR), electronic warfare (EW), radar, wireless communications, instrumentation, aerospace, and high-speed data acquisition applications. Built around the AMD-Xilinx Zynq® UltraScale+™ RFSoC architecture, the platform integrates high-speed RF ADCs, RF DACs, FPGA programmable logic, and embedded ARM processing into a compact and scalable development system.

The platform supports up to sixteen RF ADC channels and sixteen RF DAC channels directly integrated within the RFSoC device, enabling direct RF sampling architectures that significantly reduce system complexity, latency, power consumption, and analog front-end requirements. Depending on the selected RFSoC configuration, the board supports sampling rates up to multi-GSPS operation with high-resolution data conversion optimized for wideband RF applications.

Designed for demanding real-time signal processing workloads, the board incorporates high-density FPGA fabric alongside embedded Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 and Dual-core Cortex-R5 processing subsystems. This heterogeneous architecture enables simultaneous execution of deterministic low-latency DSP pipelines, embedded software control, AI inference acceleration, protocol processing, and high-throughput networking functions directly on a single platform.

The platform features extensive high-speed connectivity and expansion capabilities, including FMC+ interfaces compliant with the VITA 57.4 standard, high-bandwidth QSFP28 optical interfaces, DDR4 memory subsystems, programmable clock generation circuitry, and precision synchronization resources for multi-channel coherent applications. High-performance clocking and jitter-cleaning architectures are optimized to support phase-coherent RF systems, beamforming, phased-array radar, and synchronized multi-board deployments

PCIE connectivity is available by using SMA cables, HTG-FMC-LVDS and HTG-X8-PCIE-EP modules.
